Eunice Huntoon is my mother's father's sister. A quarter of a century ago, a second cousin of mine wrote in his family history that when he met her in the early 1930s she was living in Glendale, CA and had a desert homestead cabin about 20 miles east of Lancaster. That would explain the locale of these sketches. He also said that Eunice had been married twice so Huntoon is her maiden name.

These drawings had been scanned and given to me several years ago. I think, at least I hope, Eunice would get a kick out of having her artwork displayed on the internet--a technology that wasn't thought of back in her day. I find these drawings an interesting glimpse into the period she lived. It would be fun to have a conversation with her and hear the stories these images portray, but that will have to wait until we meet in the hereafter. Enjoy!
