Image 271 is literally a one line scribble.
Image 272 is the first of 2012 and kind of a fun one to get the doodling juices flowing. Of course, it's much larger than shown here.
Image 273 appeared almost on his own. Was fun to watch him take shape.
Image 274 is greatly reduced and was also another fun one to draw.
This week I began a class on pen and ink drawing--my first formal art lessons--and it will be interesting to see what happens. I enjoy doodling because I don't have to think unless I'm in the mood. I just let my hand do what it wants. That's the opposite of what the art class is about.
If I take to "Proper" pen & ink drawing and it goes at all well I'll include some of my projects here.
Image 275 is practicing various strokes for class. It lost a lot in reducing. I used this same fish earlier with watercolor.
Image 276 was inspired from an old barn photo, but drawn with artistic license. I'm finding I'm having difficulty with realistic drawings because they don't offer the freedom of my own kind of art. Perhaps I'll grow into it if I continue.
