Image 121 came about
with absolutely no prior
planning. In fact, the
doodle was originally a
horizontal layout, but
became a vertical.

With image 122 I had
drawn the border several weeks before and thought it ought to have a
soapbox car to go with it.

After all the cut and pasting I did
on the Pillar posters (see Projects) I thought I'd try a doodle by
using stencils to cut simple shapes from bright card stock. This doodle is also in
the Doodle Design section showing
the before and after the pen work. It was tempting to overdo. I did line work on the yellow
heart with the red center, but it didn't look right so replaced and
left it alone.
While I still prefer the classic
black on white doodles, it's fun to try something different every
once in a while.
Cutting out the stencil shapes is a
little time consuming, but it's easy and is a form of doodling about
anyone can do.
