Celebrate card: The green and yellow are regular
cardstock. The words and balloons are cut from a paper treat
bag.
The zoo animals are actually a panel cut from a plastic
treat bag. Hint: don't use rubber cement with plastic.
This leopard card was one I recently made for my
granddaughter's 14th birthday. She's had a thing for
leopard's for several years. The leopard here is actually a
pendant that she can wear on a chain around her neck.
Because the cat is so thick, the card didn't scan well. It
took many attempts and contortions to get one this good,
including removable tape!
This atom card is made with paper lace and a
purchased jewelry piece attached with metallic thread. Very
simple.
This red hat card turned out lovely. I used a red suede paper with a feel of fabric and glued on to cardstock
for strength. Foam squares under the hat gave it depth. The
card is too thick to send regular mail due to the attached
red and gold flower, but I plan on hand delivering to a
special friend. I had to prop it up in the scanner, then
crop the props.
The second red hat pic is the same card after I
added the red border. This time I used my digital camera.
The feather looks more blue here, but actually matches the
band. You can almost see the gold scroll work on the ivory
front.
This purple card was made as a quick Thanksgiving
card. My mind was blank so I simply started adding as I
went. The flower and leaves are a napkin cutout mounted on
adhesive backing and then on a foam square. The light
lavender paper has a lot of texture that isn't visible in
the pic. I feel it needs something more, but didn't have
time. It still took me all morning.
These two kitties are cards made from upholstry fabric I had left over from another project. I made eight cards with several kitty designs and special envelopes for them located HERE.
It was a fun challenge to figure out how to create these cuties, but inside the cards look quite normal. They stand nicely because of their sturdiness.
