Image A is an outline.
I first made a light
sketch with a pencil
just to get an idea of
where to put the ink.
Very quick process.
Image B I outlined in
ink, somewhat
following the pencil
outline, then began
to fill in areas as
the muse moved.
Image C is more of
the same.
Image D, Ditto
Image E. Notice the
curly edge along
the bottom is a larger
size. It looked funny
to me so I made it
larger before filling
in with my favorite engraving stroke.
Image F-H are just
more filling in spaces.
Image I is completed
and I signed my name.
I use the Technical Pen
book listed on the
Resources page
when I'm stumped
for different
strokes to use.

Doodle Design
This doodle is typical of many I've done. I start with a squiggle
and fill in the areas. It always turns out different than expected
and I don't plan ahead.
